Barry Bukatman, M.D. Memorial AGPA Scholarship: This scholarship honors the memory of Barry Bukatman, M.D. who was President-Elect at the time of his death in 2002. Registration fees are covered to attend either the two-day Institute and one day of Conference workshops or the three-day Conference portion of the AGPA Annual Meeting. Awards will be determined by lottery drawing. The recipient is asked to write a newsletter article sharing his/her experience.

Deadline: December 1 prior to the Annual Meeting. Multiple awards may be given each year, based on available funds.
Louisa Schwartz Memorial Scholarship: This scholarship was established to honor Louisa Schwartz, a longtime MAGPS member and guiding light of the Annual Training Day for many years. The award is intended to encourage clinicians early in their career to further their group therapy education by attending the MAGPS Spring Conference.
Qualifications: 1st-time attendee at the Spring Conference.
Deadline: See Conference Brochure for Scholarship application deadline. One award is given each year.
Nomination Request for the Affiliate Institute Instructor Designate Group: The Affiliate Instructor Designate Group, held at the AGPA Annual Meeting, was developed by AGPA for the purpose of training local society members to lead process groups for their respective Societies. (This training does not apply to leading a group at the National level.) Individuals nominated by Societies will be offered a place in the group on a space available basis. Participation in the group requires attendance for the two full days of the Institute and to be available to lead a small process group at a future MAGPS Weekend Conference.
Qualifications: Applicants should contact the MAGPS President or Nominations Chair to apply.
Deadline: December 1.
Awards: Recognition of the many contributions of time, energy and talent of our MAGPS members is an important way to say thank you. Awards of Appreciation and the MAGPS Award for Outstanding Service are two opportunities to recognize our member contributions. Nominations for awards to MAGPS members who have performed outstanding service may be made at any time to the President and/or the Nominations Committee Chair. Awards are traditionally presented at the Annual Conference Community Meeting.
