Student Scholarship: A Scholarship covers the registration fees and luncheon or banquet for students, interns, post-docs and residents attending a MAGPS Annual Conference. Awards are based on available scholarship funds and preference is given to first-time attendees. Recipients are expected to write a one-paragraph summary of their experience of the conference for publication in the MAGPS Newsletter.

Barry Bukatman, M.D. Memorial AGPA Scholarship: The Barry Bukatman, M.D. Memorial AGPA Scholarship to attend the AGPA Annual Meeting is now administered by the Group Psychotherapy Foundation of AGPA and funded by an annual donation to the GPF from MAGPS. The award amount is up to $1000.00 and covers annual meeting registration and travel/housing expenses. Preference goes to a MAGPS member-intraining. The application is made directly to the GPF/AGPA Scholarship Program and can be accomplished on-line at www.agpa.org. The application requires two letters of recommendation. Louisa Schwartz Memorial Scholarship: This scholarship was established to honor Louisa Schwartz, a longtime MAGPS member and guiding light of the Annual Training Day for many years. The award is intended to encourage clinicians early in their career to further their group therapy education by attending the MAGPS Spring Conference.
Qualifications: 1st-time attendee at the Spring Conference.

Awards: Recognition of the many contributions of time, energy and talent of our MAGPS members is an important way to say thank you. Awards of Appreciation and the MAGPS Award for Outstanding Service are two opportunities to recognize our member contributions. Nominations for awards to MAGPS members who have performed outstanding service may be made at any time to the President and/or the Nominations Committee Chair. Awards are traditionally presented at the Annual Conference Community Meeting.
